The House of Commons report for the Speaker’s Conference on Parliamentary Representation is now available online in its entirety.

A particular section of the report addresses the difficulties people with disabilities can face in engaging with politics. There are some pertinent points regarding making political material more accessible, addressing the bias those with disabilities face, the disabled community as an ‘untapped pool of talent’ and how to encourage those with disabilities to pursue a political career.

While the report was originally published in January, today it became available in Easy Read, Large Print, Braille and MP3 file formats in a direct effort to make the material more accessible.
