United Response Changing Lives
Our money
Where our money comes from
UR’s money comes from lots of different sources. Most of it comes from local authorities who pay us to support people with learning disabilities or mental health needs in their area. We are committed to achieving full cost recovery and made good progress in 2005/6 in consolidating our financial position.
The biggest area of growth continues to be in support to people in their own homes, with income from supported living services increasing by 15.1% this year.
Some of our money comes from fundraising - this might be from a trust, individual or corporate donor, through a legacy, through payroll giving or via a sponsored event (such as the Flora London Marathon). Fundraised income enables us to fund the innovative projects that can make a real difference to people’s lives.
UR’s total income between 1 April 2005 and 31 March 2006 was £45,293,000 compared with £41,579,000 in the previous year.
This chart shows where that money came from, analysed by major income source.
