Ultimately, we want to support people to move from being seen just as "recipients" of services to become equal contributors to their community. We believe that everyone — whatever their ability — has something to offer and we work with people and their local communities to develop mutual appreciation for what each has to give.
Everyone benefits from taking a holistic and proactive approach to social care, supporting communities to work together and creating opportunities for people to develop their own friendships and networks. Informal community support has an important role to play in delivering user-led "co-produced" solutions, complementing professional support. At the heart of this approach is a focus on each person’s assets, skills and talents.
