United Response today welcomed plans to audit services for people with learning disabilities.

Diane Lightfoot, Director of Communications, said: "We are shocked by the findings of the joint report produced by the Healthcare Commission and Commission for Social Care Inspection. We welcome the proposed audit and are working with the Healthcare Commission to develop their proposals.

"People with learning disabilities have the right to live the lives they want with the support they choose and we welcome any plans to take this agenda forward."
