Staff stories - Leo's story: Age knows no bounds

Leo is a relief support worker for United Response. Last year Leo was 75 years old.

Leo says, "I used to be a racing cyclist and have run marathons."

On his 70th birthday, Leo decided it would be a good idea to cycle and walk the whole length of Britain.

Leo has always enjoyed a challenge and wasn't worried about how long the journey would take him.

It took him 5 years to complete his journey.

There were some low points too. Leo says "I had to do a 23 mile walk in heavy rain in Yorkshire."

Leo cycled 1,200 miles and walked 250 miles over the 5 year period.
