United Response asks government to not publish the mental health bill.

The Queen announced in her speech today that the new mental health bill will be published.

Su Sayer from United Response says:

"We are concerned that the changes the government wants to make to the mental health act will not treat people equally.

"People should also be allowed an independent advocate.

"We must make sure services are properly resourced, person-centred and offer a genuine choice to people experiencing mental distress."
