United Response wants more to be done to help disabled people to work.

There is a bill the government is reading in the House of Commons today about supporting people.

Su Sayer from United Response said:

"United Response is pleased the government wants to help disabled people to find work.

"But we think people need more support to do this.

"Many people with learning disabilities or mental health needs want to work. We know people can work well and be respected.

"But many people do not want to employ disabled people.

"The bill will not change this. Government needs to work with employers.

"We think if government helps employers, disabled people will find jobs."
