The project UR First was set up to support people with learning disabilities and mental health needs to speak up.
The video group wants to show people how they can treat people better.
The video group wants the DVD to be used as a training resource.
The DVD is a collection of stories which are real.
They wanted to make the DVD because they had not seen one made by people with learning disabilities themselves.
David Boyes is a member of the group. He said:
“We wanted to show that people with disabilities feel the same things as everyone else. We can work, we can fall in love and we can get married. We can do the same things, it’s just that sometimes we need some support to do them.”
