About United Response

United Response is a charity. We work with people in England and Wales.

We support people with learning disabilities or mental health needs.

United Response was started in 1973.

Our first service was a residential service for people with learning disabilities in in West Sussex.

This first service was a success.

United Response has grown. We have opened more local community based services across England and Wales.

United Response is registered with the Charity Commissioners. This means that it is recognised as a charity. Its charity number is 265249.

United Response is also a limited company. This means we can trade. Its number is 1133776.

How we operate

The organisation has four Divisions: North East, North West, South East, South West.

Each Division has Area Offices. These offices manage services in their area.
