Our approach is person-centred and inclusive. We find out about people. We work with them and their circle of support. This includes families, carers and advocates.

UR First is a project to make sure we involve the people we support in our work and in policy making.

Planning

We plan with each person and other people as well so we can give the right support for people to live in the community.

We work with people to develop a plan so they can live as independently as possible.

We agree aims with people and provide support so people can achieve these aims. And we keep talking about these aims.

We support people to make choices. We respect people's privacy.

How we support people

We work with each person and the people who are important to them to plan the right kind of support for them.

This is so that people can be who they want to be. And they can get what they want from life.

We plan support based around what people want to do.

Involving and Consulting

We work with people to find out how they want to have their say in the organisation.

We train and support people to help us interview staff.

Working with other people

We work with other people like the Local Authority and healthcare people to provide people with the best possible support for the person.

Types of support

We provide different types of support.

We can provide outreach, community support or supported housing.

Or this could be support for someone with depression or a long lasting mental health need.
