This can be called Supported Housing.

We can support people who are 18 or over who have had some mental health problems.
The service is for people who need accommodation and who are receiving treatment or care for their mental health need.

These people need to have the skills to be a tenant. We support people to be tenants.

We support people to be tenants. We work with people to help them be independent, confident and well.

We work with people to manage their mental health problems. We help them when they are being treated.
We support people to move on if they are able to.

The staff team at the service works with each person on an individual support plan.
The staff team also works with people and other agencies like the Community Mental Health Team to find accommodation for people to move on to.

The support team works with each person to develop skills and confidence.

They can help with things like benefits and finding out how things work in someone's house.

Housing support workers can also help to find things in the community that person would like to do.

Many people move on from supported housing to independent accommodation.
Sometimes this can be done step by step.
