Competition – Bringing Back the Bloom

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED

United Response is launching a competition alongside our garden appeal, which asks: “What does the English summer mean to you?”

For one of our campaigns this year, we’re fundraising to transform community gardens across England, making them more accessible to people with disabilities and bringing back the bloom to their lives.

We’re also launching a competition to find out what the English summer means to you. We would like you to send in your interpretation of summer in bloom whether it be in the form of a poem that you have penned, a painting that you have produced, a photograph that you have taken or even a sculpture that you have created.

There will be five regional prizes of a year’s membership to the Royal Horticultural Society, as well as a national prize of £100 in gardening vouchers. The national winner will also have their winning entry incorporated into the community garden that United Response is building in Kent.

This competition is now closed. You can see the winning entry here.
