What your gift will help us do
£100 could pay for a 'large keyboard'. This enables someone with limited hand mobility to use a computer. This is important because computers can really improve communication skills and help to reduce isolation
£750 could pay for the cost of organising a local event, to help provide opportunities for people with learning disabilities. This could be to try out new experiences or meet people in the local community and can really help to increase people's confidence.
£5,000 could pay for someone with severe learning disabilities to go abroad. This could be for the first time ever. The opportunity to visit another country and explore new and exciting things can really help to develop people's confidence.
£10,000 could build a specialist garden with dedicated sensory areas, wheelchair accessible designs and activity zones. For many people with learning disabilities, it can be really difficult to enjoy their garden because of things like poor wheelchair access. Sensory gardens, however, mean people can interact and engage with their environment through sight, sound, smell, touch and taste.
