Last year’s Lodge Hill event focused on the theme ‘Choosing staff’. The aim was to get people involved in the process of recruiting their own support staff.

People we support in West Sussex and Hampshire, along with United Response staff, attended this two-day event, which included workshops on:
- Expectations of staff and job spec
- Interview questions
- The interview.
On the day, the event is very much led by the people we support, with the workshops involving open discussions, demonstrations and role-play.
The event also included activities such as archery, a massage and relaxation session, belly dancing and – to round off proceedings – a disco.
