Time for You

Time for You provides support for unpaid carers (sometimes called family carers) through a range of services and activities, that focus on relaxation, creativity and empowerment.

In particular, we want to find ‘hidden carers’ – those that have not been identified, or do not identify themselves, as carers – and provide them with relevant information so they can access support and a variety of entitlements, benefits and resources that may be available to them.

Currently, we only operate in Suffolk, but are looking to roll-out nationwide.

Family carer

“A family carer is someone of any age whose life is restricted because they are looking after another person who cannot manage without their help because of illness, age related frailty, mental health need, or disability. Family carers are not paid and do not always live with the person they care for. They may be caring for a friend, neighbour or relative.”  Family Carer Rights, Suffolk County Council 2009.
