The Driving You Forward scheme pays for young adult carers to learn to drive, and ultimately (fingers crossed!) pass their driving test.
Suffolk is a predominantly rural area with limited public transport. The ability to drive eases the caring role by providing straightforward access to medical appointments.
Mobility also improves employment chances and sociability – all with an easy way to return home quickly, should they be required at short notice.
