Money and banking

One of the most challenging aspects of transition is the new responsibilities that arise relating to money.

It is part of virtually everything. When a person moves from child to adult services they are likely to get more control and freedom over any benefits they receive, but this also brings increased responsibilities.

Getting a job and earning money requires an understanding of banking. Likewise, getting a house means you need to understand rent, bills and all manner of housekeeping costs.

As well as supporting people directly in dealing with and understanding money matters, United Response has a collection of easy read guides under the name Making Money Easier. These aim to make matters of money and banking easy to understand.

The guides can be ordered for free from our online shop, or you can view them online.
