Personal relationships and the community

Transition is a time when relationships can take on a new significance.

United Response aims to support people in any relationships that they develop. We are approachable and on-hand if guidance is needed, but also discreet enough to allow space and privacy when necessary.

While we obviously cannot ‘form’ relationships for the people we support, we can help them come about through our connections with specialist services – such as the Stars in the Sky website.

A young person’s relationship with their community might also change at this time, especially if where they live has changed. We work hard to find out what they like to do, so they can get involved in their local community and build up a wider social network.

We support people to do whatever it takes to lead a fulfilling life, be it enrolling on a college course, taking up cycling or meeting friends at the cinema.
