United Response has over 35 years experience in supporting people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities or mental health needs to take control of their lives.
We know that supporting your son, daughter, sister, brother or close friend is the most important thing you will ever ask us to do. We understand that you may have concerns about transferring their day-to-day support to someone else, perhaps for the first time in their lives.
Our ethos is to work with each person we support to find out what they want to do and how they like to be supported. We believe that it is important to build close relationships with families and involve them in this process if their relative wishes them to be. Whatever challenges your relative faces in life, we will keep in regular contact with you giving you peace of mind about the level of individual care and the provision of ongoing support.
We tailor our support around each person’s needs, wishes and goals and change this as their needs change. We are committed to creating a society where all people are equal participants, with the same rights and access to opportunities as everyone else.
We are community based, providing support in over 200 places in England and Wales. All of our support is developed and managed locally with dedicated teams who know and understand the needs of the people in that area. However, thanks to the national coverage of United Response, these teams can draw on expert support in key areas such as health and safety, human resources and finance. This structure means our local staff teams can focus on providing support for your relative, whilst those buying support from us have the peace of mind a national provider with a proven track record can offer.
