Home insurance: introduction

There are two different types of home insurance.

Home contents insurance is about the things that you own — all the things that are in your home.

Home buildings insurance is about the building itself — the walls, the roof, the floor, the pipes.

You may need both. But it is really important to get the kind you need. And not the kind you don't.
