With the year well under way, it’s time to start thinking about your goals for the year. Why not fundraise for United Response, and show the world just how much you can raise for a good cause. Here’s 5 things you can do:

1. Have a jumble sale

January is a good time for a big clear-out and selling off any unwanted items. Instead of spending the money you raise to buy more stuff, you could donate it to United Response.

2. Take part in a sporting event

There are plenty of challenges you can take part in throughout the year. Why not try RideLondon-Surrey this year? Or if you’re looking for a smaller challenge, do a 5k or 10k run. There’s also obstacle races or ultramarathons (runs longer than a marathon) for the more extreme among us. Check out our event pages.

3. Get together

Who doesn’t love to have a natter and eat cake while raising a bit of money for charity? Have a get together by inviting your friends around, putting on the kettle and asking them to make a donation. Simple!

4. Quit something you love

Cutting back on unhealthy food and drink can do more than just benefit your health. Give up something you love and inspire others donate. You could even give up other things like social media or TV.

5. Do something amazing

If you’re an adrenaline junkie and want a new experience, try skydiving or parachuting. It’s a great way to impress your friends and raise a bit of money too.
