If you’ve read Yes Man by Danny Wallace or watched the Yes Man film with Jim Carrey then you’ll know that a lot of opportunities can come your way if you start saying yes to things.

On Day 22, we want you to go forward into the New Year with a positive attitude by saying 'yes' to things that you would usually say 'no' to.

We’re not suggesting you say 'yes' to every single thing or put yourself in danger, like in the book and film, but saying 'yes' to small things throughout the day could open doors to a range of opportunities you might not have come across before. You could end up building your confidence, making new relationships, seeing new places or even enhancing your career.

Try a new approach

So when your neighbour invites you over for a coffee, but your first instinct is to refuse because you’ve been working all day and just want to curl up on the sofa in front of the TV - say yes instead. They might have had a rubbish day and need to chat to someone, and you could end up feeling loads better yourself.
