United Response is delighted to announce that we will be exhibiting and presenting at Learning Disability Today in Sheffield on Thursday 30 April. Lost in Transition presentation On top of this, we are thrilled to have been invited to deliver a specialist presentation and share our knowledge on how to successfully navigate the process of transition from children’s to adult’s services.The presentation will be delivered by Diane Lightfoot, director of communications and fundraising, and Amie Dobinson, development coordinator for the North West. Together they will be delivering an informative session called Lost in Transition, during which they will share the wealth of knowledge our organisation has gained through many years of successfully supporting young people in transition.We intend to cover the impact of the Children and Families Act 2014, realistic outcomes following a Transition Assessment and real-life examples of individuals we’ve supported through transitions, along with the variety of tools available to continually measure progress.
