This holiday season, we're asking you to give the gift of communication. On Facebook and Twitter we will be sharing just how technology can help communication.

Our Christmas appeal this year is focused on how technology can help people with learning disabilities communicate. An independent life is all about the ability to make everyday choices. Something as simple as an iPad doesn't just provide an opportunity to play games and watch videos - it also gives people with learning disabilities the capability to choose what they want in life.

You can see an example of this in this video on the MyChoicePad app.

On Twitter, we've launched an advent calendar and will be posting until December 25 choice that people with learning disabilities can make this Christmas using technology. On Facebook, inspired by the 12 Days of Christmas, we've launched 12 ways people with learning disabilities can communicate their Christmas choices with technology.

Follow us on Twitter and Like us on Facebook to get these updates in your timeline and newsfeed.

And please donate to our appeal and help gift the gift of communication to more people we support whose independence could be revolutionised with your help.
