Postcards from the Edges is not only about giving people a space to be expressive, but also the opportunity to share and connect with other people and their creations.

That’s why when we created the Postcards from the Edges website; we made sure it was easy to leave comments on individual postcards. It’s great to see people sharing their thoughts with each other – why not leave a comment on a postcard and let the artist know what you think.

This week’s postcard was created by Ashley. Ashley is deaf and loves to create art, she’s even set up her own Facebook page dedicated to her creativity.

Art is a huge part of my life as I am into being creative, decoration, fashion and much more! It’s all about beautiful art,” Ashley explains.

“I think that expressing yourself through art is like putting a seed in the ground to grow - beautiful and unstoppable.

“I created my postcard with the title ‘Love’ because love is something we can’t live without.

“I also create art to show my support towards people with disabilities and to encourage people to look more at the positive side of their lives. I hope they look at this artwork and feel inspired.”

You can read more about why Ashley created her card and find many more postcards on the Postcards from the Edges website.
