Good luck to Team United Response cyclists this Sunday!

We have 13 cyclists taking part in RideLondon on 2nd August, all of whom have been training hard as well as raising valuable funds for United Response.

Last night, we had the opportunity to meet some of them at our pre-ride drinks reception, kindly put on by Kettner’s in London’s West End. It was nice for everyone to be able to relax before the big day, and get to know the team over some very yummy mini fish and chips.

How the funds will help

Our cyclists have pledged to raise over £5,000 altogether, for people with a range of disabilities, mental health needs, autism and dementia, and the money will make a huge difference to their lives.

It can help to fund projects that help people make connections in their community, reducing the risk of isolation and improving other people’s understanding of disabilities and mental health. It can also help to fund equipment, which enhances the quality of life for someone with limited or no verbal communication; for such people we support, a piece of equipment to help them communicate their needs is essential.

Come and cheer them on!

To show our appreciation, we’ll be in Kingston-upon-Thames on the day to cheer them on, please come and join us – we’ll be on London Road near Tiffin School. If you can’t find us on the day, why not tweet us @unitedresponse?

Last but not least - have a fantastic day team! It’s a huge achievement and you should all be very proud.
