Join the Mayor of Truro and the Lions Club on a historic walk around the ancient parish boundary of Truro on St George's Day. A revival of the centuries old tradition! We encourage participants to raise personal sponsorship for the Mayor’s Charity, ROC Wellbeing (part of United Response).

It's free for children under 16 but they must be accompanied by an adult. Well behaved dogs, on a short lead, are welcome. 

The route

This historic walk has a total distance of 15 miles, using roads and footpaths. If 15 miles is a bit too much then you can join for 5 or 10 miles too with transport provided to return you to your start point.

About the day

Beginning with a civic proclamation by the Town Crier and Mace Bearer at 9.55am in Lemon Quay; with the assistance of students from local primary schools, seven ‘Beating the Bounds’ ceremonies will be held throughout the day. Following the event, each walker will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Mayor.

You can register on the big day - please see the stewards at your start point half an hour earlier than the times indicated above.
