As the 2015 General Election draws closer, our Every Vote Counts campaign is gaining some fantastic coverage. On Friday evening, BBC London news covered the difficulties facing voters with learning disabilities.

BBC London’s Yvonne Hall came to United Response to learn about why so few people we support voted at the last general election, and what can be done to overcome the barriers.

Our campaigns manager, John Cooper described how a lack of easily accessible information on politics and voting, and a lack of awareness among politicians can hold back some disabled voters.

In addition to this, our Political Correspondent David Allkins was given the opportunity to contribute to the film, which featured footage from the disability hustings he reported on in Twickenham last week.
