Sponsored by Harris Begley Financial Planning with the generous support of the Penventon Park Hotel, the Executive Gala Quiz Night was recently launched by Ian Harris and Rajesh Joshi, together with quiz master Nathan Nicholson.

Taking place at the Penventon on Thursday 11th May at 6.30pm, rounds of fun brain teasers will be combined with Champagne cocktails, fine dining, and the chance to win stunning prizes in the magnificent setting of the hotel ballroom. 100% of the entry fees and raffle will go to ROC Wellbeing (part of United Response) in Cornwall, a charity which supports local people with learning disabilities.

The entry fee, at £19.95 per “egg head”, includes Champagne cocktails, canapes, a three course menu and coffee, concluding with a prize giving, before carriages timed for 9.30pm. The organisers hope more than £2,000 will be raised for the charity.

Flexible on size, teams of up to 8 brainiacs can be registered with Ian Harris on 01736 366 550 or ian.harris@harrisbegley.co.uk

Ian Harris, co-proprietor of Harris Begley Financial Planning said: “ROC Wellbeing is part of a charity with huge ambition – despite the Government’s austerity measures. Our son has Downs Syndrome and I have been deeply impressed by the charity’s focus on work place inclusion. We feel privileged to have inaugurated a gala night focused on the business sector to provide a significant channel of resources in support of the charity’s inspirational development plans in the years to come.”

Rajesh Joshi, general manager of The Penventon Park Hotel said: “ROC Wellbeing provide a profoundly important service that delivers genuine integration within the community, to help people with complex needs enjoy a normal life. Creating an inclusive environment for both staff and guests is a fundamental value of the Penventon Park Hotel. The opportunity to join with other champions of the Cornish business community to raise funds for this very special charity, is an honour.”

Calvin Lovelock of United Response: “I have been astonished by the extraordinary generosity of our sponsors who are providing an evening which is simply dripping in quality – and without charge to the charity. An Executive Gala Quiz Night is phenomenal news for the charity, both in terms of income and new high level contacts. Ian and Rajesh and their colleagues have my most sincere gratitude.”
