Our mission is to ensure that individuals with learning disabilities, mental or physical support needs have the opportunity to live their lives to the full.
Founded in 1973 with just one service in West Sussex, we now support around 2,000 people, work in 400 locations across England and Wales and employ over 3,500 staff. As well as providing support, we run campaigns to raise awareness and to lobby for change on key issues, run fundraising appeals and events, and provide guidance and information via our website, as well as through various publications.
Transforming Care - We want to provide support to more people with complex needs, in line with the Transforming Care agenda
Young people - We want to grow our offer to young people in transition including developing our pioneering student housing model and support to students at mainstream colleges and universities
Mental Health - We want to grow and develop our support to people with mental health needs beyond in new areas of the country
Supported Employment – we want to grow and develop our specialist supported employment services and support more people to access work opportunities through our housing-based services.
