Care and support Where we work Devon area We support people with disabilities throughout Devon since 1990, including Torbay, South Hams, Teignbridge, Exeter, Exmouth and Honiton. We use person centred planning. This means that we listen to you and the people who are important in your life. We will make sure we have understood you. We will also make sure that other people around you understand how to communicate with you. Support we offer Residential care We run three residential care homes across Devon. The homes can provide support for you if you have learning and/or physical disabilities. The homes can support you to be as independent as you want to or can be. You can be supported to do accredited learning through ROC’s Life Skills College, go to activities and go on holidays. Supported living We can support you, once you are ready, to live in your own home. This is usually through privately rented accommodation. You can choose to live on your own or with house mates and we can work with you to look at how much support you will need or want. We will work with you to understand where and how you want to live. Education ROC’s Life Skills College can support you to access facilities in your chosen community, through Devon and Cornwall, and develop life skills. You can go to ROC’s Life Skills College if you are 16 years and older and have just left school. At the College we will support you to create a personalised training programme. Through the College you will learn and become more confident with house hold tasks and accessing your local community. “The ROC Life Skills College offers an exciting approach to learning and skills. We offer a unique, flexible programme for each learner, making their learning pathway individual and fun." Rebecca Quantrill, Personalisation Manager for Life Skills College. ROC has achieved Independent Specialist Provider status which means that we can apply to the Education Funding Agency (EFA) for your learning and development.
