ROC College (part of United Response) logo

ROC College is a virtual college that supports learners aged 16-25 with a range of disabilities to move towards independent living and paid employment. We currently work with learners in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

We have an exciting, unique approach to learning and skills development and we offer flexible, personalised programmes to all our students. The curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of each student, making the learning pathway individual and fun.

ROC College recognises that valuable learning and growth take place at home and in your local community. We encourage every learner to build on their existing skills and develop new ones with support from us, as well as their family and friends.

Personalised learning programmes

Personalised, flexible learning programmes enable all learners to flourish. We'll work hard to get to know you, and our initial assessment will help us to meet your unique needs. We'll then create a suitable learning programme together. You will be in control of your learning programme throughout your time at ROC College.

Outcomes and qualifications

Learners develop independence and engage with their local community. Students can gain a range of qualifications from Ascentsis and City & Guilds in subjects including:

  • Land-based studies
  • Customer services
  • Using employability skills
  • Functional skills

You will also have opportunities to engage in voluntary work and work experience in areas that interest you to help you explore what jobs you find rewarding.

We provide both residential and supported living accommodation. There is also a respite service which can provide short breaks at Cherry Court in Newton Abbot.
