We are pleased to announce that you helped us surpass our target for this appeal.

Your donation will make a positive change for some of the most vulnerable people in the UK.

We’re asking you to give a little this Christmas to make a big difference to someone with a disability or mental health need.

Here are just two of the projects you helped fund last Christmas

A Pop-Up-Shop in Folkestone town centre, run by people with disabilities 5 days a week, selling both homemade produce and donated items. This project enables them to be active in their community and helps them to gain valuable employment skills.
Ailsa is one of the people we support that you helped last Christmas, thanks to your generous donations
Ailsa, who we support, volunteers on the stall, she is involved in all aspects of the project and is proactive with ideas to promote the stall, and always with a smile on her face! Ailsa’s confidence has grown so much and she really enjoys working on the stall.

In Ailsa’s words:

“I love doing this job and would do it 7 days a week if I could!”

You also helped to fund a gardening project in York for people with dementia and learning disabilities. On their first project, they are working together to transform a local garden with volunteers from the City of York Council. The project has proven to be a vital lifeline for some involved who previously felt very isolated from their community.

Who your money helps

United Response has been working for over 40 years, offering support to people with disabilities and mental health needs locally. Over the years, our expertise has led to us supporting a growing number of people with more complex and profound disabilities – people that other organisations may not be able to reach.

We believe that everyone has the right to choose how they live their lives, regardless of their level of disability and communication needs. We support people to make decisions about where they live, how they manage their money, becoming active members of their community and finding work.

So please give today to make sure these opportunities are always possible for everyone we support.
