Her career began as a support worker and progressed through senior roles including Director of Adult Social Services and, most recently, Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care for England at the Care Quality Commission. Throughout her career, Kate has been a champion of the rights of people who draw on support, the value of person-centred care and the vital role of the social care workforce.
