Pete joined United Response in October 2022 and is responsible for overseeing the financial management and long-term sustainability of the charity. He leads the central finance team and works closely with trustees and the rest of the senior management team.

Before coming to United Response, Pete was Chief Operating Officer for Home-Start UK supporting isolated and vulnerable families around the UK.

Over twenty years spent specialising in the charity sector, Pete has held senior finance roles with a range of large charities including the RAF Benevolent Fund and London Diocesan Fund.

After university he spent a year as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

It was this formative experience that shaped Pete’s focus on ensuring that the people supported by charities should always be treated with respect and receive the very best care and opportunities.

Pete lives in Leicestershire and is married with three children. He enjoys reading, walking, attempting to write apocalyptic fiction and travelling.
