Dementia

We support people with dementia to live as independently as possible, and to keep the things, people and activities that are important to them in their lives.

Our support focuses on you, rather than on the dementia, which may obscure your personality and tastes.

We will get to know you. We will find out what you like, and who or what is important to you. If you have difficulty remembering, or cannot tell us, we will ask people who know you. In this way, we ensure your support and environment reflects your personality and tastes.

Whether your dementia affects you gradually or in stages we will work with you, and those close to you, to adapt your support as your needs change.

We work in partnership with clinical experts, and if you need it, we will support you to work with specialists such as speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and psychiatrists.

We know you will have good and bad times. We will help you to make the most of the good times and support you through the bad ones.

If required, we will use assistive technology to ensure your safety and independence for as long as possible.
