Katie Tait has split her career in two with over 15 years as a journalist in both broadcast and print followed by 15 years at Director and CEO level in the Third Sector.

Katie worked at the BBC both at Radio 4 as a producer in factual programmes before moving to BBC TV where she was Editor of Crimewatch UK and then Managing Director of Documentaries. Taking a short time off to be with family she wrote lifestyle columns for the Saturday Telegraph and comment pieces for the Times and Evening Standard.

Katie then moved to the Third Sector working as the Director of Development and then the Director of Communications for Maggie’s the cancer charity. In the last two years she has been CEO of Horatio’s Garden.

Key to all Katie’s work has been the need to put the voices of those with lived experience at the heart of decision making and communication and the way that United Response makes this happen is deeply impressive.
