United Response have been supporting people in Suffolk since 1989.

We support people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, challenging behaviour, autism, dual sensory loss and mental health needs.

We help the people to gain new skills and greater confidence, become a valued part of their community, and to move on into homes of their own.

Deaf awareness in Ipswich

In Ipswich we support two households of Deaf BSL users, and the service has a strong Deaf culture. All staff must have BSL Stage I and are expected to progress to BSL Stage II while working there.

Staff from the service provide Deaf awareness training in the area and the people we support attend a local Deaf Club.
